Hi, I'm Elohim.

Engineer by study. Maker by nature.

I'm an Electrical & Computer Engineering student at Constructor University Bremen. My focus is on embedded systems and electronics. From circuit design to hardware prototyping, I like seeing ideas go from a schematic to something that actually works.

Do I prefer working with hardware or software? Yes.

Core Skills

My Toolkit

Here's what I work with

01

Hardware

KiCad, LTSpice, breadboards, soldering equipment, oscilloscopes. Whether it's for coursework or just for fun, most of what I build starts on the hardware side. Circuit design and hands-on builds are where I'm most in my element.

02

Software

C, C++, Python, MATLAB, Arduino IDE. I write code to make hardware do something useful. Most of what I work on sits at the intersection of software and hardware.

03

CAD & Modelling

Fusion 360 and Blender are my main tools. Whether it's designing a robot chassis for competition or modelling something in 3D, I like when an idea stops living only in my head.

Experience

The Story So Far.

Here is a glimpse of the roles and experiences that have shaped how I think and work.

  • Supported 30+ first year students through the transition into university life, offering guidance on academic adjustment and campus navigation.
  • Facilitated weekly study sessions to help mentees build effective study habits and stay on top of coursework.
  • Made time to personally welcome and onboard late-arriving students, ensuring they felt supported from day one.

  • Designed and delivered interactive Figma prototypes over a 3-month internship, iterating through weekly design reviews with the lead designer before presenting final designs to the CEO.
  • Self-taught advanced Figma prototyping to design an interactive AI demo experience, benchmarking competitor platforms to inform design decisions and improve user workflows.
  • Developed a student solutions page end-to-end, owning the UX layout and SEO-optimised copy in collaboration with the Data Analytics team.

  • Conducted regular usability testing on the Educait platform, submitting structured feedback reports to the development team to identify and flag issues.
  • Supported logistics and participant engagement for a 50+ person student hackathon.

Extracurriculars

Beyond the Lecture Hall

Here is a glimpse of the clubs and communities I've been a part of since starting university.

  • Collaborated with a team of 6 to prototype a game in 72 hours at the club's inaugural game jam.
  • Volunteered to represent DCS at ArtFest, Bremen's largest student-led art exhibition, operating a Meta Quest 3 headset and guiding visitors through the VR experience.
  • Developed 3D modelling skills through recurring Blender workshops.

  • Tackled an open-ended engineering challenge, designing and developing a hardware-software solution from problem selection through to prototype.
  • Developed hardware prototyping skills through recurring Fusion 360 and electronics workshops.
  • Participated in the university's inaugural sumo robot competition.
Portrait of Elohim Dzangare

“Am I cooking or am I BEING cooked?”

After high school, I wanted to pursue Computer Science, but I also didn't want to leave Physics behind. ECE turned out to be the answer to that problem, and two years in, it still feels like the right call. It's genuinely a hard degree and I won't pretend otherwise, but it's challenging in a way that keeps me interested. Most of what you've seen on this page started with curiosity, not a deadline.

I'm originally from Harare, Zimbabwe, currently studying at Constructor University in Bremen. I'm the kind of person who gets invested in things and sees them through, whether that's a robot that isn't quite working yet or a project I picked up purely out of curiosity. Outside of engineering, I play piano, read everything from African literary fiction to thrillers, have a budding House Flipper addiction, and am a firm believer that Hamilton is one of the greatest works of art of the 21st century.
